The two students of PBI UM Metro, Tegar Pandu Wiranata and Ikrar Nusabhakti, participated in the National University Debating Championship 2017 in Palembang. This annual event was held in Emilia Hotel for two days started from Thursday to Friday 6-7 of July 2017. They are accompanied by the head of English Study Program Bapak Amirudin Latif as the main supervisor for this event. Tegar and Ikrar are officially selected by the faculty committee of Muhammadiyah University of Metro two months before they went to university level. Not only Tegar and Ikrar who successfully run that level, another student from Faculty of Engineering, Rahmady Setiawan was selected to be the representative candidate of the university as well. Although they have worked hard for preparing this event, the luck did not come to them yet. The team was nominated on the top twelve.
